Alpha aviation är en liten flygskola som erbjuder moduluppbyggd CPL/IR/ME-utbildning. Skolan har två flygplan, en DA42 NG och en DA42 TDI, samt en Alsim DA42 FNTP II-simulator. Jag hade möjlighet att träna med dem mellan maj och juli 2023, den varade i exakt 9 veckor. Eftersom programmet var välplanerat, kunde jag gå vidare i en bra arbetstakt, men alltid åtföljd i alla faser av instruktörerna, som också är mycket bra lärare och mycket empatiska. Du kan prata med dem när de är tillgängliga. Briefing genomförs före och efter varje flygning och varje simulatorpass. De anpassar sig efter varje elevs nivå. Alla flygfaser studeras på det mest exakta sättet och utförs manuellt under flygning (SID, STAR, full ILS-procedur, RNP, VOR, NDB etc.) allt görs för att vara klart på tentamensdagen. Med en fransk licens behövde jag inte göra en konversation eller en överföring eftersom examinatorerna är godkända av den franska DGAC. Boende är 30 sekunder från anläggningarna, det finns gym i boendet, dusch med toalett, vardagsrum med internationell tv, utrustat kök, fordon för studenter och därmed för att kunna röra på sig ingår boende i kostnaden för träning. Det råder en mycket familjär atmosfär på grund av skolans lilla storlek, jag rekommenderar det fullt ut, mycket bra träning, mycket bra flygnivå i slutet av skolan, jag ångrar inget. Tack till Daniel, Amin, Richard och Kjell, Cory för allt du har lärt mig och gett mig.

Alpha Aviation is a newly emerging flight school and in my opinion will become one of the top flying schools in Europe that offer modular pilot training. Their courses are taught at a fairly fast pace, which is quite intense in the short time period they quote, however they are structured well and the instruction is very professional. They have some of the best instructors I’ve had in this industry which made the whole process enjoyable and relaxed, highly recommend Richard, Amin and Daniel (examiner) they are all very passionate and felt very comfortable with them. No hidden costs, and they never asked me for large amounts of payments upfront. I renewed my FAA licence in only 1 day, and converted my FAA CPL/IR/ME to EASA in just under 2 weeks. They have 2 DA42s and 1 DA42 simulator in house. Very nice airfield to learn from with a control tower, daily regional flights, cargo and private jet movements. ILS, RNP and NDB approaches are available to practice 2D/3D approaches at the airfield. Any one looking to do class one medicals can also do them at the airport with a visiting AME that can be contacted via the school. Accommodation all on site attached to the hangar, it is included in the course price and has comfortable bed rooms (linen/towels available) two toilets with shower facilities and a very spacious kitchen/dining area (cooker + fridge available), laundry/dryer facilities, a mini work out area, lounge/relax area with tv/channels, and a school car that can be used by students to do groceries (a Maxi/Coop superstore is under 10 mins drive, note the airport is in an isolated area). A restaurant is also available at the airport, with lunch options, not usually open in the evenings. Any modular students looking to do their training fast without having to wait months and months for places like Diamond Flight Academy, I think you will not regret choosing Alpha. Thank you Amin and your great team for making this process so efficient and memorable!

Great school for a EASA MEP IR CPL training. Being a smaller scaled school creates a very relaxed environment and good availability of instructors meant very minimal wait times for any training. Completed my EASA conversion training with Alpha and could’ve easily finished it within a week if it wasn’t for the flight test notification period with the Swedish CAA. Ended up completing in 2 weeks which was still within the promised time frame. Accommodation was also very complete with everything necessary for a comfortable and pleasant stay.

I completed my CPL/ME/IR at Alpha Aviation Academy in 8 weeks and would recommend other modular students to go there. There were no hidden fees and you got what you paid for. Modern DA42, accommodation right next to the hangar, a car for the students to use during their stay, and close follow-up by the instructors. If you have any questions be sure to contact them!

I completed the CPL/IR/ME training at Alpha. The experience matched my expectations, I recommend it to modular students. People at Alpha are honest, friendly and professional. There were no hidden fees. The training consisted in 38 hours of DA42 and 40 hours of simulator. The simulator is a perfect replica of their DA42 (except for the position of the fuel pumps buttons). Flying the DA42 was great. It is well equipped, with the anti-icing upgrade. We had the opportunity to experience some real weather during our IR training. The school is well prepared to have the aircraft up and ready to fly with all the necessary spare parts. Trollhattan airport (ESGT) is suitable for training: controlled, ILS approach, RNP approaches, NDB approaches... and as well for the VFR part you get a pretty flat landscape where to do all the necessary exercises. They propose accommodation in the same building of the school. The facilities are functional and new (they finished renovations during my stay). To move around, the school offers a car to the students. I had done the PPL training in France. I wanted to go abroad for the CPL/IR/ME. I considered Sweden because I knew several people that had gone to Diamond at Kalmar and were happy. While searching for schools in Sweden, I found that Alpha proposed a very similar training program to that of Diamond in the same type of aircraft. I chose Alpha because there was no waiting time required to start, the price was better and I felt they were professional when I contacted them. I wish all the best to the team at Alpha!

I completed my CPL/ME/IR training in Alpha, and would like to recommend it for future students who might be considering this training organisation. What drew me first to this school was the fair prices and transparency of service..no hidden fees, and you get what you paid for. It is still a small business, which means you get a very tailored experience, and their planning is made with you in mind. Their syllabi/training methodology is on par with other more well known schools around Sweden…it will get you very well prepared for your skill test. Currently they have one DA42 that is very well maintained and they keep spare parts at their hangar for those more common easy fixes, which avoids down time for the aircraft. I had a great experience flying in weather conditions that I would not be able to find back home (i.e. snow). Accommodation had all the basics you might need and it's conveniently located next to the hangar. They have a car that the students can use, which is super useful for small road trips and supermarket visits. Trollhatan is a small city, but time will literally fly when you are there.

Canceled my PC on a two weeks notice. Put me in a horrible position when it came to find a replacement to renew my papers. Would not recommend to trust this company. Edit: yes, the school offered me a new date, two months later. This would mean that I would walk two months without my license and not being able to apply for jobs or go on interviews. I informed them that my license expired in February and it was the schools idea to put my PC with them on the 24th of February. I have heard great things about this school from other students, but my experience was unfortunately not the best.

I did my FAA to EASA conversion with Alpha Aviation and i can say it was exactly what i expected from what was advertised and in some ways exceeding expectations. Accommodation was nothing too special but had all the basics you need for your 1-2 week stay (winter will likely increase that stay time). The flight training is straight to the point and concise with all relevant information given to pass your skills test, If you had any multi engine performance issues in your previous training/experience be prepared for maybe an extra flight or two as the standard course is only about 3-4 flights in the aircraft plus a few simulator sessions. On the the simulator, probably one of the nicest FNPT simulators you will find not much else can be said about that. As for the aircraft, well maintained DA42 absolutely a great handling twin, for those coming from america or lesser capable twins some things of that aircraft will shock you in its performance and simplicity, key there being simplicity as its a short course so you want less time focusing on learning the aircraft and more on the maneuvers and navigation for your skills test. To sum up above there were no hidden costs with the flight school what you saw is what you got, if anything the local prices for food in the area was the biggest surprise so maybe increase your normal food budget from what your used if your not from Sweden. And the last thing that exceeded my expectation is the school has a crew car for students (manual transmission) as i was expecting to uber to the store but this made everything so much more convenient for my stay.

The instructors and owners of the school are great people and very welcoming. I completed the CPL/MEIR course in their DA42 which is maintained well. I found my course to be intense and with the diverse weather around Sweden it was challenging to which the instructors were very helpful in upskilling your piloting ability. I passed the CPL/MEIR first time and would highly recommend this school moving forward.
