I have been previously here but could never remember the service or the food. Last night I was treated to a ridiculously slow service and just average food. We waited for over 20 minutes just to get our order taken, and once it was taken they completely forgot about us until we reminded them. Starters came, drinks came 10 minutes later and the mains came around another 15 minutes after. Taste wise I would say the food was average especially for how much they charge. But what ruined it for me is how cold the dishes were. On top of that the naan came 5 minutes after I got my Karahi which made the food even colder. Even when asking for the bill, we had to wait for over 30 minutes. We had a basic meal which was booked at 19:30 and we left at 22:00. All in all, service needs to be looked into, and for a tea bar, they only have 3 teas which all I presume are PG tips.

I've updated my review since i went back for the first time in 6 years. The food was still decent but the service was terrible. 45 minute wait for drinks, our starters arrived before our drinks. The waiter who originally served us came back and assumed we'd already finished the first ones (that we hadn't received). At the end of the meal we also waited 30 mins for the bill... Eventually being told we had to pay at the front... But then brought the bill over anyway. I'd understand if it was busy, but it wasn't.

Portion sizes are smaller than prison food. I left this place wanting to get a dirty Kansas burger to compensate. I think charging £9.50 for Lamb chops and only bringing out 3 pcs is a slap to the face and daylight robbery. The lamb chops had a smell . The dynamite prawns were cold and rubbery. To top this all up I got slapped with a service charge (this is not USA). I hope the workers get a cut of this service charge on top of their normal wage or that would be a slap to your employees.

I usually don't bother with an average or bad review unless I think it will help someone avoid a bad experience or even help the business improve things which is my goal. I did not have a good experience and I can compare because I usually have a similar thing in other places. Rice was over boiled and cold. Meat (lamb) was overcooked and lukewarm at best. I certainly won't be returning. 3 stars was generous, Hope it was just a bad day. Parking: There are some parking options nearby although not great.

Opted for Zouks after passing up on previous occasions in favour of Etci Mehmet next door. We were seated promptly and served primarily by Halima, who was pleasant and had a nice manner about her. That is one of the reasons I haven't dropped it down to a one star. We opted to order four small plates and went for the lamb nihari calzone, punjabi lollipop chicken with pomegranate sauce, hummus and the spicy okra 'chips.' The hummus and the lollipop chicken were really good but I wasn't too impressed with the other two. The worse thing was we started with the other two first and I found a large piece of plastic/clingfilm which I was unwittingly chewing on for a while thinking it was the stringy/chewy texture of the okra or the nihari. I was somewhat perturbed to learn it wasn't and I hope that I haven't inadvertently swallowed any small piece. I brought it to the attention of Halima and another lady who in turn apparently alerted the manager, Deepak. He came over eventually and was deeply apologetic for the foreign object in our food as it was accepted that it shouldn't have been present. Apparently, he'd already spoken to the staff in the kitchen. I wasn't entirely sure what to expect but I anticipated that he may reduce the bill by waiving the charge for the calzone and/or the okra as a gesture of goodwill. However, I was a little disappointed that he "waived" their discretionary charge of 10%, which is added to every bill. I don't think that went far enough as finding a significant piece of clingfilm in your food is not trivial, especially if chewed on and/or ingested by unsuspecting customers. The decor and ambience in the restaurant is nice and appealing. The washroom facilities looked a little tired and not in keeping with the rest of the restaurant but I understand they are being renovated soon. I doubt I'll be returning here again but if anyone reading this does decide to go anyway, you might want to check for foreign objects in your food! Certainly wasn't a pleasant experience for me.

The ambience is pretty nice. We ordered biryani, butter chicken bao buns, tandoori prawns and mixed grill. Tandoori prawns and lamb chops were my absolute favourite. The flavour is amazing. Overall food is good but quite expensive. Don’t recommend getting the butter chicken bao buns.

Went for dinner here for my husbands birthday this evening and all I can say is it was terrible! The food was bland and cold and the service was horrendous. Ordered popadoms, drinks, starters and main meal. It took 15 mins for them to bring out the popadoms and that was even after I had to ask two different waiters for them. Then a further 15 mins for our drinks. Then they bought our little boys food out with the starters and got the order wrong! The burger was meant to have no sauce but they put sauce on it and they forgot his chips! My little boy was very hungry at this point and upset that the rest of us had food and he didn’t. They then bought his burger out and forgot the chips again which I had to ask for several times again, they came after 10 mins. I complained to the waiter who just kept laughing saying the chips were coming. I then complained to a manager who did nothing. All starters and mains were cold when served! Definitely do not recommend to anyone and will never be returning again! Customer service and whole experience was a disgrace!
