I don’t usually post negative reviews but would like to state that the Rochester Food and Drink festival was run in an irresponsible and poorly controlled manner. The only place to sit to eat food was in front of the music stages which meant that you had to listen to music whether you wanted to or not. People had to queue for far too long to get food. The food stalls closed one hour before the comedy. As a result most people went into Rochester and drank that hour away thinking that there would be food at the comedy event. There wasn’t (not even a packet of crisps) and everyone got horrendously drunk. Consequently the comedians had to contest with a very difficult crowd. My partner and I left after the first two acts as we felt it was getting out of control and unsafe. Do better and be responsible hosts.
