    Friendly staff, decent service and food ok. Kids menu was good (3 courses 7.95) 3 course set menu available for 23.95. Bit annoying they do not accept cash.

    Came here tonight for hubbys birthday. Staff was friendly . The place seemed very empty for a Saturday night. Not much atmosphere. Food was nice enough. We wasn't waiting long . No draught beer though tut . Unfortunately though we won't return as its card only ( tut tut )and we'd mainly brought cash . Probably the reason why so empty . Isn't cash still legal tender🤔

    I strongly recommend using a taste-card if eating in Zizzis as you can get 2 for 1 on starters mains and desserts. The food is good especially the lasagne and bruschetta! Zizzis pesto is my favourite it's really fresh and the tomatoes are so juicy! Calamari is very difficult to overcook and undercook, nevertheless always cooked to perfection at zizzisđź‘Ś.I've eaten at this zizzis a few times and i've encountered a lovely young gentlemen (James it says on my receipt) a couple of times he's lovely, very well spoken and very helpful! Very good attitude from the staff :)

    Went of a meal here on Thursday for my wife’s birthday , had 3 course meal and the children have the 3 course meal, we was seated near the front door with a 2 small children, given menu and then left didn’t get a greeting or any help how to order, tried ordering online but our table was closed on the website so had to ask them to open the table , the staff didn’t take order at the table to make it easier ,there was only two tables in the whole restaurant but people where been turned away saying it was to busy, one staff member was sat at a table eating, the started came an the chicken was so cold sent it back they warmed it up and sent the same one back out after putting it in the microwave , we have no knife and forks and no napkins , children given colouring sheets but no colours, our table got so full we started to move the empty glasses , bottle and plates and asked a young waitress to help still only 2 tables in the restaurant and 4 staff members serving , then when our main came our dessert came at the same time so had to say we wasn’t ready for it. Wouldn’t return the food wasn’t great and no customer service really disappointed we have visited Zizzi in other towns and been lovey but just let it down us.

    Dishonest manager - Nick - at Zizzi Hull/St Stephens. Not impressed. Specifically asked a staff member about using Tesco vouchers for the meal deal menu before ordering from this menu and was told it was fine. Also asked another staff member about using Tesco vouchers when I first entered the restaurant, and they said 'just use your vouchers when paying'. Nothing about special menus and exempted items etc etc. Manager point blank refused to accept the vouchers for the 4 meal deals we had ordered, and physically split the order into separate bits (even though the separately ordered items are a larger item), and we had to pay for these items. We simply would not have ordered the meal deal if they were not payable with the vouchers! Poor manner. Not willing to listen. Not sure why we had to suffer for the mistake of their staff... Not recommended.

    Went in to use our Tesco vouchers for a special birthday meal. Told the waitress that we had Tesco vouchers and whether we could use it on the set menu which she said yes but when it came to payment the restaurant didn’t want to honour the vouchers. Even worst is that it was the manager who did the bill and won’t accept his staff were wrong. Actually the one that seated us also said we could use the vouchers at the end, so 2 staff were wrong or badly trained. Or is it the manager being awkward? We paid more than expected and hence didn’t leave any tips. Won’t be using this restaurant again.
