Booked for a Saturday night after extremely positive experiences at Zenxi in Chelmsford we thought we would try Warley. Originally a table for 4 however being courteous called in advance to let them know the booking has reduced to 2. Walked in and the atmosphere with the live pianist was amazing, however was greeted with a miserable host. Whilst walking to our table we were sectioned off into a dark corner with no light and no view of the entertainment and main seating area we were the only table that had this view and light experience - I would of understood if the table could still see out like the others in our section however this is unenjoyable. We asked our young waitress if we could move tables however the host said to her he has no table at 8.45pm! We asked to speak to the host and before me and my partner could even speak he said we had no tables and couldn’t move us when I looked there was 3 tables full of glasses which hadn’t been set up I tried to explain we were a table of 4 who had booked 2 months in advance however he was replying extremely rudely and not coming to a conclusion for the customer to be happy with with phrases being made including “I haven’t got time for this”. Me and partner were so disappointed and said if that’s the case we will leave as understandably don’t want to eat our meals in the dark and not being able to see out just looking at walls. His response yet again rude rolled his eyes and said “Please do” and walked off. Extremely disappointed with his disrespectful rude actions and for a reputable restaurant it did not uphold this standards with him being not accommodating to anything, it’s a shame was really excited as enjoyed Zenxi Chelmsford. AVOID

Gorgeous food and lovely restaurant but service shocking. Saturday night and full. Asked for some water three times and got told they had no glasses as all in dishwasher! Expensive bill and service definitely did not match.
