Been using Zara cakes for years ever since they were in the shop in St Margarets and Sedgley park prestwich but never again,ordered a cake for my wifes 50th which was picked up yesterday, was thrown away after 3 slices, massive disappointment.

Don’t rely on this business to follow through with their commitment to fulfil a paid order. I selected the date I needed to pick up the cupcakes on and I’ve been let down. No email and no communication - try other local businesses.

Unfortunately, my experience with Zara cakes has been very poor. They failed on two occasions to deliver, three if you count the date that the website allowed me to book a delivery although they were not actually able to do that. The first was my fault with an incomplete address; they then continued to use the incomplete address despite having been given the full one. After the third failure, I was promised a refund and a last attempt at delivery at their expense - this delivery arrived, one month after the original date requested. They have now decided that a refund is not appropriate. Absolutely awful customer service - a goodwill gesture should have been made.

I can’t recommend Zara Cakes enough! I get all my kids bday cakes from them as well as gifts for friends / family throughout the year. The girls are all so lovely, the attention to detail is second to none and they ALWAYS understand my ideas / themes exactly how it is in my head :). Friendly, punctual and always willing to change things at the last minute! Thanks again girls x x
