A very enjoyable evening. Great sets, excellent acting .... what more could one want? Having had some difficulty in accessing our seats, we would recommend that there should be advice that those with 'health issues' should be made aware that they might have prefer to limit their choice of seats in the balcony to those in the front row. These are easily accessed from a doorway at the same level. Access to all others is 'risky', to say the least.

My wife and I went to see "Brief Encounter" last night. It was the worst production I have ever seen at the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre. Like many others, we walked out after the first act.

My wife and I went to watch Stewart Lee perform Basic Lee last night which was super fun and very clever comedy. We were in row C on the left as we faced the stage which was close to the action but not so close to be singled out for comic interaction (phew!) We found the seats comfortable and easy to find. The auditorium is a moderate size which makes for a more personal experience. We were able to get refreshments in the interval without queuing for long so had plenty of time. The fire exits were opened to enable the audience to get in and out faster. We parked in the Millbrook car park next door which is less than 5 mins walk away and cost us £1.60. A thoroughly enjoyable night at the theatre!
