I go to Spitalfields frequently as my office is next to it. Yum Bun is one of the best places I have tried there- three buns per person; chicken, pork and mushroom. They were all excellent and flavorful. Overall it was around £18 per person including drink. Seating space is not guaranteed and it’s a bit messy.

Really delicious buns — only one vegan option but it's really good so I don't mind! My only real disappointment is that the meal box type deal (two buns, side salad, and a couple of gyoza) still isn't really enough to be a meal. I left hungry! I could definitely eat 3 or even 4 buns and wish there was a deal for those options. All ingredients lovely and fresh, and the tofu filling was very tasty, topped with delicious chillies that weren't too spicy. As with most bao buns these are difficult to eat without making a huge mess, so be ready for that too... Vegetarian options: One vegan option, and an additional veggie option. Would love more but appreciate that on a small menu like this, it probably makes sense!

After an incredibly long wait at the stall (20+ mins) I was served the wrong food, I ordered a mushroom and tofu bao bun as a vegetarian, took it home and saw that I was given a tofu and chicken bun instead.

The queue was long and buzzing so we thought better try plant based steam/bao buns, it was a mistake to order tofu and mushroom buns. What can I say they were the worst buns I have tried, the tofu bun was like dry cardboard flavour and mushroom, yes just mushroom flavour and that's it. The descriptions on the menu are elaborate & exotic that do not match the reality. Go try bao buns from wagamama, they may be from a chain but they have got flavour and texture right, way better than this place.

I was staying nearby for work and easily at Yum Bun 3 times in 2 weeks. I seriously could not enough of these delicious buns! There is almost always a line, but they are well worth the wait. My favorite bun was the Korean chicken, it was perfectly fried but still juicy. The lunch special was plenty of food at a good price. Would highly recommend Yum Bun for a quick, and yummy lunch!
