  Where do we even start with this review? Shelly is incredible! We have loved working with her from when we booked her in January 2019, to our wedding in October 2021. She made us feel at ease with the most amazing engagement shoot, and was so much more than a photographer on the day itself. Shelly steps in as problem-solver and dilemma-fixer, as well as documenting the day to perfection. She knew just where to be at just the right time, and was quite simply part of the party - we wouldn't have had the day without her and can't thank her enough for the absolutely stellar job she did. If you want a photographer with a lot of personality, a bit of sass, and a whole heap of laughs, you couldn't find anyone better! Thanks so much, Shelly! Charlotte & Adam 💕

  Shelly at Toast of Leeds is one incredible lady. She made my wedding day so special and she was the funniest person ever. I don’t think I could have done half the day without her not only for her amazing pictures she creates but how much she made me feel so calm and took away any stress.   We just got our pictures back from Shelly after our wedding and it's capped off what's been a brilliant experience from start to finish. We spoke to exactly one photographer and immediately knew Toast and Shelly were bang on for our not very traditional and quite chaotic wedding. It's only after getting the pictures back and seeing how ridiculously good they are that we've realised how big a decision your wedding photographer is, and we're so glad that we decided to go with Shelly and Toast. She's class.

  I rarely write reviews, but after hiring Shelly I felt compelled to do one. We hired Shelly for our engagement shoot and wedding, from start to finish she was incredible! Shelly is warm, funny and kind person who had an amazing eye to orchestrate the best shots. I am passionate about photography, so really want to get someone who could really capture the atmosphere, stories, imagination and magic of our wedding day. Shelly was an omnipresent lens through the entire day right until the end, she managed to capture every moment and looking through our pictures has revealed so many hidden moments and stories which we saw anew. Shelly's is very adept at not only taking incredibly atmospheric and original pictures, but also knowing how to manage people, which I think at events such as weddings this is an equally important skill to have. If you have any event which you want captured, I can highly recommend giving Shelly a call to talk it through. The money you'll pay should be thought of as a investment to have an indelible book of a thousand visual stories, which captures the essence of your special event. p.s Shelly is also a really fun and genuine person to work with.

  Wow... Just wow. We knew from the movement that we first met Shelly of Toast of Leeds that we had found our photographer for our special day. Shelly stood out with her unique style and personality. Shelly is down to earth, fun and insanely good at what she does. You often wonder if your own pictures will ever look as good as the promotional material and examples on the website, however for us it was just pure excitement to see the final product as we trusted Shelly having seen a lot of her work, and let me tell you, she did not disappoint. The preview slideshow set to music brought back so many memories. We wanted to do it all over again, we couldn’t believe how amazing it looked on the photos. Wedding guests and wider friendship groups have all commented on how incredible the photos looked. In an age where camera phones take pretty good pictures when people are posing, if you’re after something truly special, go with Toast. You won’t even realised that Shelly has taken most of the pictures as she is like a stealth Ninja but my word, the pictures are amazing. The contact with Shelly from the beginning and throughout was brilliant and fun, we felt like we’ve made a friend for life and now follow all of her work and enjoy seeing all the amazing photos she takes. The little note pad and hip flask was a welcomed suprise and came in very handing as we planned the big day. We cannot thank you enough Shelly. We are just looking at new laptops so that we can download and cherish the vast amount of pictures you managed to take. They are all incredible and we cannot wait to get some printed. If you want extraordinary and not the usual staged photos, Shelly will capture your day like no one else and She will also entertain your guests in doing so.   As neither of us our the most comfortable with having our photo taken or being centre of attention, we knew we’d need someone special to capture our wedding photographs and make us feel at ease.... the moment we spoke to Shelly over a FaceTime conversation we knew we met the person who could do all that and more. We didn’t want awkward, cheesy, traditional photos and Shelly delivered on every level. Our friends and family fell in love with her slightly crazy, but at the same time totally laid back approach. We trusted in her judgements.... as crazy as they may have seemed at the time, and the results spoke for themselves. If you want dated, cheesy photos find somewhere else...... If you want amazing, timeless, sophisticated, conversation starting art pieces..... look no further.

  Shelly was absolutely amazing! We spent a lot of time looking at photographers and absolutely loved the unique style of photography Shelly brings to the table. We didn’t want any “classic” posed wedding photos and Shelly definitely delivered. Everyone at the wedding thought she was a blast and she was so easy to work with. She seemed to be everywhere at once getting all of the best shots all night long. She was so helpful after the wedding and super easy to get in touch with. 100% recommend!

  We cannot speak highly enough of Shelly! Our photographs were beyond brilliant, we get so many comments about how great they are. They really captured the moment perfectly. Just as importantly, Shelly was fantastic to work with. She blends in, or is authoritative when there is an opportunity for a good shot! It's clearly second nature to her, so so you have full confidence in her ability and can relax. Whether weaving in between guests on the dancefloor or spotting beautiful light outside the loos (!) she was like a ninja photographer. We decided to opt in for a second photographer on the day from her team, and Ian was just brilliant too. Not to mention, she recommended my amazing make-up artist and the incredible band.
