For over 20 years I have been paying my bill on time and often more than I need to pay monthly, initially by cheque and for the past many years online.. went online today and it wouldn't let me pay unless I created a log in .. WHY .. why do companies today think they have the right to force us to live and do things the way they want us too. Rang them and spoke to a nice person but the upshot being that despite being told if I logged in a certain way it would go through .. it didn't .. so back to paying by cheque which will make the payment late ... I dare them to censure me for that .. !!

Just received another email back from operational contract centre Manager Adele Murray .Who says that our shared lateral drain is private.Funny how all other shared lateral drains are the responsibility of Yorkshire water .All they do is lie.Currently speaking News programme going to be running our story .another argument with Yorkshire Water with Jenid Hussain waste water manger ,shocking service so rude Yorkshire Water have been attending my property for 8 months .He ,s now telling me all the drainage is private ,they just fitted a new manhole cover saying Yorkshire Water on it ?.The same guy told me in email two weeks ago it was YW responsibility.Been flooded beneath my property since 17/07/22 From unmapped Yorkshire Water sewer beneath adjacent highway blocked 45 metres. This resulted in the Highway being dug up and the back flow from from these blockages have been flooding my home.I have a private drainage report showing the sewer in my boundary requires lining as the joints are misplaced with a hole and the chamber needs a non return value to prevent further flooding .These repairs have been refused ,as has a claim for compensation.Even though the work carried out was public work on private land to unblock the sewer. This YW drainage was mapped by attending engineers. They have refused to give any information or show us maps .They have the right to enter my property to maintain the Highway .But when something goes wrong it become private drainage .Currently passed all to my solicitor and Ofwat .The staff dealing with our flooding complaints are rude and argumentative and lie to cover their own negligence. If you experience similar issues go on YORKSHIRE WATER CODE OF CONDUCT IT LISTS RIGHTS OF ENTRY .YORKSHIRE WATER OBLIGATION TO CUSTOMERS Just issued me With GSS rebate £466 for rebate on sewer charges. But refused compensation or repair ? .COMPENSATION ,PUBLIC WORK ON PRIVATE LAND.This company is an absolute disgrace.I will continue to post until my issues are resolved.Funny how complaints don’t receive a response?

No communication whatsoever. I noticed them I was going to move out to which they said they would close my account and send me the final bill. Months later I’m being bombarded with calls and texts from a debt collection agency that further action will be taken if I don’t pay. I have never received any communication from Yorkshire Water so I was not aware of any outstanding amount, therefore taking this case to a debt collection agency seemed a bit extreme (especially for a £50 bill). I’ve never had a problem with them while I was paying the bills but this situation just shows poor communication and carelessness with their clients.

Found a leak in the water meter chamber. Rang to report the leak. Very pleasant lady on phone she did say would get a call back to arrange access. Sorry to say that didn't happen. Rang again did then get a call back to arrange. Arrived on time but said he could not fix problem that it would have to be the firm they use to dig up pavement etc. They Arrived promptly & hoped it would be half hour job. Five hours it took to repair had to dig up concrete path to repair. Very polite workman. Left all reasonably tidy. Then got a call asking if all left tidy from young lady.
