The Yorkshire Dales National Park was a joint writer of the updated countryside code but are not attempting to implement it. There seems to be the right to trample on many of the pastures at Linton Falls and walkers and other visitors do not stick to public footpaths. Visitors often come for the day and bring sports equipment, cricket wickets and the like and damage the grass. The river there is a dangerous environment to play in and the public seem unaware of the risks involved with playing in cold water. The lack of buoyancy aids seem to be non existant. Loss of life seems at risk. Picnic area: The picnic areas at Linton Falls in the Yorkshire Dale's National Park seems to extend to 2 fields, one either side of the path from the Grassington car park down to the river. People come and bring bbq and tents and just choose any place to set up camp and seem to have no regard to farmers land and just come with their dingies and enjoy the water despite it being the polluted sewer it is turning into.
