Every time I report a repair that needs doing it takes them months to actually get someone to come out and fix the issue even when it’s been put down as an ‘emergency’. I’m still waiting now for this to be fixed and I called back in December but cant fault the customer service as they are always pleasant.

The staff I have spoken to are very pleasant and the rent is low for the area but the YHA has a policy of ripping out the carpets and white goods when a tenant moves out which leaves you with the huge cost of replacing them, sadly.

They are as useful as a chocolate teapot. The companies they subcontract to are useless and basically a cowboy outfit. York Housing take ages to get back to you if they get back at all and some of the staff can be quite rude. The amount of money that tenants pay for their houses is appalling when you see the state that York Housing have left these houses in.
