This is the place where York Hospital Radio broadcast live programmes. It's like a rabbit warren inside with multiple corridors and rooms. Some rooms are studios, one is a library, one is a staff room where you can sit and have coffee. It's all in the basement of the building and there's a new ventilation system that pumps fresh air in (for Covid protection) but, because it's underground, there's little natural light. Still, it's cosy and functional and, if you get on with broadcasting, you lose track of where you are and enjoy yourself. It feels safe.
