Car parking is totally inadequate. Having attended a funeral on friday, returned to find at least 20 cars blocked in by double parking by visitors at next funeral. We had to wait till next funeral party came and moved their cars to let us out. Consequently we were all late to attend wake. Unnacceptable

Peaceful if a little solemn . Showing signs of wear and tear in places . The general atmosphere is restful and the service was pleasant and felt unhurried the area is very pleasant but some more planting would lift the spirits . Not a happy time for anybody really but well and sympathetically handled with care and dignity.

Poor. Such a poorly kept area, you'd think someone could at least clean the sign at the entrance. Round the side its like a building site with fenced off areas and temporary buildings. I know the furnace is being upgraded but this should have been finished years ago. The solemn service of a funeral now finishes with everyone wondering what's happening and then filtering out of the room whilst still staring at the coffin sat there......... Not a good final view of a loved one. Very poor York City Council, very poor.

We (Simple Cremations Hull Ltd) have carried out a number of funerals at York Crematorium in both the large and small chapels. Each time the staff have been dignified, polite and helpful. Their help was especially welcomed with regard to the operation of the music system which was needed as I perform the services myself.
