Really beautiful restaurant in a beautiful hotel. Shame about the quality of food and service. I went for Brunch and was taken aback by the carefully misleading menu which actually offers 3 different brunch menu prices from the same list but having various parts of the menu included and not included according to which menu option you choose. This is not clear unless you ask your severer. Ours was happily chatting away about the cocktails until I asked more questions about the menu, and then she told us that they were only included in the bottomless cocktails options. After choosing to take the basic menu which was still a costly £75, the service took a dive off the cliff. All you get for this price is some basic nachos, guacamole, bread and grilled peppers to start. Then you get to choose from regular brunch options. I chose Eggs Benedict which was just made to sound fancy, nothing special. And dessert was some sort of chocolate cake. The food was quite tasty but I would have expected to pay max £30 for the quantity of food I ate. The total price was ridiculous. I will not be back for brunch. Hopefully dinner is a bit better. Sadly another beautiful, yet hideously overpriced place with poor service in London.

Had a lovely evening last night at Yopo the Mandrake. The venue is absolutely stunning! The staff were friendly and our waitress Karina was great. She suggested we try the aubergine dish and I’m so glad she did as it is insanely good! Karina was also helping us with picking cocktails, she is clearly very knowledgeable and passionate about the drinks and dishes they serve.
