  Update April 2023 Oh dear oh dear. Yo sushi... what has happened to you? When you first opened you were great. And now... oh dear.... here is my updated review visiting the branch at Selfridges (you would think it would be the best given its location in one of London's prime retail stores!) Yo Sushi has sadly pushed its prices up to the point of being unreasonable. It is no longer value for money and the standards and quality of the sushi has gone downhill in recent years. Sushi rolls are cut unevenly and are generally quite small and expensive (considering for the most part you get two rolls on a plate). The staff are quite young, inexperienced and not very attentive to diners' needs. I would really avoid any Yo Sushi in London, I'm very sorry to say. And whilst I see customer service is doing a great job of responding to poor reviews, presumably offering vouchers to diners (I don't know as I haven't responded) what really needs to happen is that Yo needs to return to offering the diner great value, high quality, decent portion size and a great level of service. Customers do not want to feel ripped off for poor quality, overpriced food. Until the model improves, I will not be back and cannot recommend Yo Sushi to any local or traveler visiting London. Downgrading from 3 stars to 1 star. Previous review_____ Convenient sushi on a conveyor belt. Food is fresh. Whilst not a first stop for sushi lovers, it is quick and decent if you happens to be craving a sushi fix. Gets a bit pricey these days and I’ve noticed price increases too. Water should really be free and is now a cheeky £1.50 for the joy of filtered water.

  I haven't been to a YO for years and was excited to spot this. There were 2 separate customers eating (1 was paying his bill) so there were plenty of seats for me. I waited till a server saw me before I asked if I could sit anywhere. He said yes. He literally never spoke to me again except when I had to pay for the bill. So much has changed. You cannot self fill any water. The menu is limited in terms of actual sushi dishes that would go on the conveyor belt. Wasabi and pickled ginger is not there, you have to order and pay for it. There was a self order side to the menu which you had to pay up front for via the QR link. The whole time I was seated no extra plates were put onto the conveyor belt which was barely 30% full, meanwhile a plethora of plates already made were sat waiting in front of the staff. I asked her why she wasn't putting it out, she said because it wasn't that busy right now. I mean I didn't say all of it, but not even some of it? The sushi rolls were cut poorly, uneven and loose. Some were so tiny. All the sashimi were now at room temp. At every point of payment...there was service charge...what service?! I even got up and got a menu on my own. I literally couldn't be bothered anymore and left after 2 plates.

(Original) De retour au Yo sushi de Selfridges après quelques années sans y être allée et je n'ai pas été déçue. 5 petites minutes d'attente avant d'être installées, le serveur est sympa et efficace, il passe régulièrement pour vérifier que tout va bien. On commande nos boissons, le thé vert est toujours à volonté, nos plats chauds, et on se sert ensuite sur le tapis roulant. Les sashimis et sushis sont très bons, le saumon de qualité, les salades bien assaisonnées. Le seul bémol c'est le prix vraiment élevé. Hormis cela c'est un lieu sympa où l'on mange bien.

  Waited to be seated and unfortunately had one member of staff look at us and walk past and ignore us. Once seated, it was easy and quick to order food. Did have to ask where our drinks that we ordered were after waiting some time for them. Food was lovely and arrived quick. The lady (possibly the boss or head chef) was working so hard constantly putting out food and helping customers who had questions. The only thing that ruined the atmosphere was the constant raised tones of certain staff and an argument between 2 staff members right next to us.
