Food was tasty and nicely cooked and prepared but there were plenty of things which could be improved. 1. We arrived to only 2-3 other customers in the restaurant but had to wait for the table to be wiped down…seemed a bit disorganised for the tables not to be ready, when not busy! 2. Ordering by app was clunky and very inconvenient, if you want to order more, it’s another order and another transaction. The system takes the orderer away from their friends/families attention. It was also difficult to find what you want easily, no search function and the headings were not consistent with the physical menu provided. Items were also not available on the app?!? These issues will stop us returning. 3. G&T from a can, dumped into a glass without ice (machine had been broken for some time apparently) with no garnish, really poor! 4. As the tables aren’t properly waited, we had to ask regularly for things, drinks glasses, water, spoons etc. Overall we had good food but the experience was poor compared to other restaurants.

UPDATED 0 stars!! Been a loyal YS customer since day one all over the UK. The new concept of ordering is frustrating. Food quality is poor straight from fridge cold and nothing is fresh. The whole experience is dull and you can really see where spending has been clawed back because of “covid” I don’t see YS surviving when there are better alternatives out there. The atmosphere and theatre of this once great restaurant concept has gone. Staff are nice but product poor and restaurant tired and needs a deep clean. Told to email YS. Emailed them nothing came back have had to send a follow up email. Very poor customer service and recent negative reviews just go to show what a failing brand it it. Go to Pompoko round the corner. Fresh food, quick service, cheap and you get many smiles!!!

Grim - didn’t get to eat I really wanted to stay to order just to see if they made you cook your meal and to spur the thumb twiddling chef into action. It was good to see a near empty restaurant on a bustling Friday night. Did we have a booking? No, just popped in because we fancied some sashimi. Could we sit at one of the many empty tables? No, just room to prop up the conveyer…Any food on the belt? Nah! Of course not! Could we have a beer? Sold out! Serve yourself using the app. Have we pre-selected a service charge? Yes of course! Could we tell you what it’s for? Probably not! We finally stumbled through the small selection of food (up to £38 for a few items). Went to press ‘order’ and got asked to sign up to order our food! Don’t put yourself through this, there’s a perfectly serviceable Greggs just round the corner.

THE most depressing thing I’ve experienced since lockdown. This is the dining equivalent of the days between Boxing Day and new year….directionless and unwelcoming. Qr codes, empty belts and non existent service. Really really bad. Overpriced, underwhelming, tired. No wonder it’s empty on a Saturday night Furthermore After emailing 3 times to the address that you suggested in your reply, you haven’t even attempted to respond. Sums up the modern yo! Experience perfectly. the full circle of ineptitude complete.

My son and I went for the Sushi School and highly recommend! Nina was so knowledgeable and skilled and my son was completely focused on what she was teaching us. The food was lovely and the set up worked really well. Definitely going back to try all the things we saw on the menu!!

Disappointing. Covid measures were still in place (in April 2023). The conveyor was circulating, but there was nothing on there. Food was passed to us by the chef and didn't arrive via the conveyor as promised (disappointed son). The food wasn't great. The Korean fried chicken was sickly sweet with no flavour. Had to get up and ask the seated servers for a fork for my son who was also disappointed with his katsu curry. No check-backs, so no opportunity to complain. Restaurant was dirty (including the single menu we had to share). Only interactions with servers was to be seated and given drinks. Felt more like McDonalds with restaurant prices and compulsory pre-tipping. £27 poorly spent.
