York used to be our favourite racecourse to visit in Yorkshire. Something of a nightmare today however. Prices in the County Stand are way over the top but at least was respectable and classy in the past. Paying 6.50 for a pint of warm lager in a plastic glass is hardly ideal. A disgusting sandwich at “ The Hog Roast” in the County Stand was an eye watering 9.75. Abba tribute band Mania playing after racing were brilliant but it was marred by drunks everywhere..How can York justify this?
