Very early days but so far very pleased. As a parent the initial look around the school was very impressive and we got the impression it was the sort of place our daughter would thrive. Yateley has some impressive facilities. With access to a swimming pool, dance studio and sports facilities, as well as good labs and design and technology. There are also a lot of after school clubs and activities such as Rock Choir and swimming amongst others. As a family who all compete at a national level in dance we were very impressed with the dance studio too. I think the school is 100% on the money with the BYOD scheme of using their own laptops in school. I work as a consultant for a tech firm and when I'm interviewing nobody gets a job unless they have excellent computer skills. It's just the way the world is now. There is a library to get homework done after school before coming home and being distracted with games consoles. That is a really handy arrangement for working families too as they can get their homework done in a safe place until you can pick them up. We think it provides a lot of opportunity for the kids to thrive across academic, social and sports activities. I say opportunity because you still have to go out, grab it and take advantage of it. If you put the minimum in its likely you will get the minimum out. I honestly wish my school had been like Yateley. Looking back I was really hard done by in comparison. Keep up the good work.
