The accommodation is really good for the price. The rooms were relatively clean when I arrived and there is a lot more storage space than it seems. Communication is also really good - I had an issue with temperature control on my shower so I contacted Tom. He responded quickly and fixed it really quickly as well. I would absolutely recommend this accommodation regardless of what point you're at in university.

My experience here so far has been decent, there hasn't been really major issues. However, what I failed to consider when booking my room is how overpriced it is; I'm paying £135 per week for something that is essentially the same as Tramways, the only difference being that you don't get a tele in your bedroom over there. There is literally no staff in the building at all during the day except for the occasional cleaner every week or so, it's for that reason why I haven't risked getting anything delivered here. People's parcels are just dumped on top of the letterboxes free for anyone to take. Go to somewhere like tramways and save yourself a grand of your loan, it's what I'll be doing

Its early days but having read some of the very poor reviews about this accommodation I thought it might be helpful to provide some balance. I understand there were issues last year with the hot water, security arrangements and response to issues. So far we have raised two minor maintenance issues and they have been resolved within a week. There is currently ample hot water and a very friendly and helpful security guard in place from 7pm - 7am. Online queries are responded to within 48 hours. It is a very warm building so we may look to buy our daughter a small fan next spring/summer but we'd rather that than cold and damp. So .... so far so good.

I'm a current resident here right now and don't actually have the energy to tell you everything that's wrong with this place right now but i will do after i've finally moved out in the next couple of weeks; all i'm saying is a man broke into the building once and threatened to kill me and tried to kick my flat door down and the security were meant to be on site at the time and nobody was there. currently very angry with management and just wanted to give a flavour of the kind of inadequacy of service provided by X1
