You can only give 5*. Really well maintained woodland, mountain bike trails, horse trails as well as the walking paths. You can disappear for hours in any format and what's better for both physical and mental health than that. We go every weekend as live within a short ride away and always great seeing everyone enjoying themselves. Love it.

A lovely place to visit and walk trails. The car park was virtually empty, so was able to park very close to the visitor centre. For 4 hours parking it's £5.50. If you think you would visit more than 8 times in a year, it would be better to get a years membership, as it comes with free parking. The trails are numerous, it's just a case of choosing which one you fancy. There are clean toilets available, tramper hire for people with mobility issues (£2.50 for 1½ hours) and even a dog washing cubicle (£7.00). After a 1½ hours walk, we were in need of refreshments so we stopped at the café and had a coffee and bacon, cranberry and brie hot rustic roll, with salad and crisps and a coffee which was about £10.00. You can even buy a proper sausage for your dog for a quid. Be aware though, at midday, it took about ½ hour to prepare the hot roll combo. The quality of the food and coffee was excellent though.

Playground: Needs more items for kids to play on, so unfortunately there was quite a wait for some of the rides. Restrooms: We're ok and clean but no soap in the dispensers Dog-friendliness: Loads of dog walkers unfortunately most were not on leads and were able to jump up others which for people that don't like dogs might scare them. Picnic area: Minimal places to sit and eat and as the cafe is rather small it is pretty full.
