We are by no means wine experts but really enjoyed Martin’s tour of his family’s lovely vineyard. He is funny, engaging and clearly passionate about his work, and we both came away with a greater appreciation of the wine-making process and having sampled some of his delicious wines. The lunch was delicious and the surrounding countryside was wonderful. Thank you to Martin and Amanda!

My father and I visited Wroxeter Roman Vineyard last summer and did the tour and tasting. We had a lovely time! The owner chap (forget his name!) was a wonderful guide. His enthusiasm for his vocation was contagious. Viticulture is fascinating on its own, but he made it even more so. I am no expert on wine, but the ones we tasted were mostly excellent. Not all were to my taste, but that's to be expected. We purchased a bottle to bring back to the States as a gift. The only reason I have taken off a star is because the tour was a bit on the long side. The owner/guide kept it interesting for the most part, but it was a lot of information to take in and after a bit I was eager to finally sip some wine. The tour could be trimmed by about thirty minutes, I think. We began the day visiting the Roman ruins just up the road, and this visit to the vineyard "paired" nicely with that. I can certainly recommend this place. Folks should be prepared for the tour and tasting to take up the whole rest of their afternoon, though. Still, give it a go.

This experience was just not for me unfortunately and that’s just my opinion. The talks about the wine etc were pretty lengthy and I found myself clock watching a lot and really wanting to go home as we stood outside listening to stories for a while. We ended the day tasting 5 different very small mini glasses of wine at the very end and were given very basic sandwich’s and self service tea:coffee, this was not a usual afternoon tea setting. We also had to pay an additional £5 on arrival on top of voucher costs. Martin was lovely and knowledgeable however just not my cup of tea unfortunately.

Really good day. A great tour full of knowledge and experience, the sampling of the wines was brilliant 3 whites a red and rose. We payed for the more expensive experience but disappointed the included bottle wasn't one that we had tried in the day and we had no choice in what bottle it was.
