Booked one night DBB break. Good communication from the hotel prior to arrival re what time we would like our evening meal. Quick and efficient check in. Our room was very modern with what appeared to be a recently refurbished bathroom and brass fixtures and fittings. Large free car park immediately outside. The hotel was set in extensive, well tended grounds. Couldn't fault the service and food at the evening meal or at breakfast. We would definitely stay here again. Although classed as a 3* hotel I am of the opinion that it is nearer a 4* hotel. The only negative was that upon checking out our bill was wrong. On closer inspection we were charged for three glasses of wine and one bottle of wine when it should have been four glasses. Spoilt was was a nice break.

Totally delightful stay at Wrea Head Hall recently. Lucky to have great weather! This is a really beautiful hotel with a wonderfully restorative atmosphere and a real sense of history. We received a warm and friendly welcome. Our twin room was very comfortable with a stunning bathroom and views over the lawn. We really liked the relaxing bar and conservatory area for drinks (very good prosecco!). Dinner was delicious, a varied menu featuring local produce. Superb breakfasts too. Generous portions to set you up for the day. A great location close to Scarborough but away from the madding crowd. Highly recommended.
