I trained at WPF and very glad I did. The training was thorough, thoughtful and professional, set me up for working in the NHS and privately.

This is my 3rd attempt to leave a review. I went for an assessment to use their low cost service & was met by a grumpy looking person which did not inspire confidence. I was led down a warren of corridors to the depths of I don't know where  (not much good if you're claustrophobic - which they don't check for - or want to make a quick exit - you're trapped) and the first question on the list was: Have you ever been suicidal? Well it was the most inappropriate question under the circumstances when an appropriate rapport had not been established. I had spent some time beforehand explaining my situation, however I received no empathy or understanding whatsoever to inspire trust. On checking later I discovered the person was a BACP member only despite listed as a senior therapist. They seemed a bit out of date on the therapy world also. I was rather disappointed at the whole scenario. For that money I would want a properly qualified UKCP therapist assessor.

I feel very sorry for people who have had bad experiences. My own experience was nothing but positive. I started seeing a therapist here about a year ago. She was very skilled and has made a huge difference. Unfortunately she had to end our therapy abruptly recently, but this would have been for a very good reason, and WPF offered me another therapist but I feel now that I no longer need help. I will definitely return there if I want or need help in future.

I live near to this office and their alarm has been repeatedly going off during the lockdown. They can take days to reply to messages or turn it off. I have asked them repeatedly if they would review the setup of their alarm system, but they have not. They have been particularly evasive and obnoxious about the issue. I have found them to be passive aggressive and inconsiderate neighbours. This wouldn't lead me to feel confident in any services they provide.

I only have to say good things! The wait was long but worth it! . They are very professional, extremely helpful and kind; I always feel safe and comfortable to share my thoughts with my therapist. He really helped me a lot to face my challenges and helped me to understand my behaviors. Specially during lockdown I don't know how I would had come without these sessions.. Sadly he couldn't continue with the sessions and I got assigned another therapist , and then three sessions I had with her, Were also extremely helpful!! I highly recommend it.

Terrible, had a course of therapy (a few years ago) with no goals, no guidance, no effort to help me understand the process. Definitely best avoided.

After some traumatic events including with my landlord I became very severely depressed. I turned to WPF for help. The assessment I received was insightful and I was provided with a good therapist. The very severe depression began to lift. Therefore my therapeutic experience has been a good one. However, I agree with some of the comments here about WPF's policies and management that are imho less than ideal. The assessor decided that I needed open-ended therapy, and he was right. I asked for an experienced therapist. Some time into therapy I discover that therapy with an experienced therapist can only be for one year - WPF policy and no exceptions or flexibility. Consequently therapy ended and I wasn't anywhere near ready. I'm not sure those managing WPF have a good handle on the therapeutic process. There seems to be a disparity between the therapists and the WPF business.
