I had a very unpleasant time at this store. I was encouraged to try on some trousers I liked and went to do so. Upon closing the curtain I overheard a member of staff (different from the other) asking my boyfriend how many items I had in an accusatory tone as well as say "it's when they go into the changing room with two and come out with one", my boyfriend politely responded that I would not do anything like that , which he shouldn't have to clarify. I understand that as a store worker you have to be diligent about theft, however I cannot think of any other reason why he assumed I would steal and felt comfortable confiding in my white boyfriend about his concerns of my theft other than prejudice or racism (I am a black woman). I don't like throwing that word around lightly and even if that is not the case, the whole interaction was quite unprofessional. I was really disheartened because interactions like this really feel like a set back. I didn't bother finish trying on the trousers, put them back where I found them, and left the store immediately. Unfortunately I have read other reviews with racist incidents or general rudeness and wouldn't recommend this store to any person of colour who enjoys being treated with respect.

Good collection but very rude staff. Got told in quite a patronising way how to handle the pieces I was trying. Then, after i was for about five minutes in the changing room, trying to be careful, they screamed "are you nearly done, I've got people queuing?". I understand that this is a small shop and that there are only two changing rooms, but there's definitely a better way to treat your clients (ask if they need help, apologise that you have to rush them, etc..). Furthermore, considering how precious they seem to be about their pieces, the changing rooms were full of big lumps of dust that inevitably gets caught on whatever your trying, and the clothes on the hangers feel very damp.
