We stayed for 2 nights at this hotel and dealt with broken facilities, no hot water, 2 hour waits for food and bed bug/flea bites. 2 weeks before the stay I went on the website and saw that there was a notification that the steam room and jacuzzi were not working. I assumed that because we had not been informed of the fact, it would be fine when I was going to stay. I then arrived at the hotel to find out that it was still broken, I expressed that I was upset and it could have been communicated earlier and they said there was nothing they could do about it. Then the next morning we woke up to a cold shower, we thought that potentially because it was late this was normal and thought nothing else about it. We were in the bar at 6pm and heard people discussing being offered different hotels, we queried with them and they said there was no hot water and people were being offered alternative hotels. We were not informed by the hotel of the lack of hot water and instead went to enquire ourselves, it was at that point too late for us to be moved like most other people and were basically told to deal with it and that we may receive some compensation but they weren’t sure. That evening we then went to the restaurant where we waited 30 minutes for a drinks order, 2 hours after we ordered our food a waiter came to us to inform us that they forgot to put our order through and it was being cooked now. At this point there was not where else we could go to get food so we had to wait. After returning home we noticed some bites on my partners arm, he has never had anything like it before and hasn’t since. Because it is a dog hotel we suspect that fleas may have come off a dog and into the sheets and mattress. We have reported that to the hotel but they haven’t acknowledged it. It took over 1.5 weeks to receive any communication from them regarding our complaints and we have only received a partial refund. And some emails still remain unanswered. The lack of communication is a abysmal and I would not stay again.
