Brutally incompetent staff. Preschool grub. You're in trouble when asparagus pea "tart" is a catering co. lidless pastry shell, with whole peas, among ultra thin slivers of asparagus neck. & pasta is drowning in a flavourless oil slick. Worse when you say you don't want an ingredient and food comes slathered in it (despite menu never mentioning it). Even worse when waitress tries to convince you the ingredient is ok for you: No, it's not. Worse still when they pull bits out, behind the scenes then bring the dish back with some bits left in. Far worse when you tail the waitress, complaining. They take the dish, continue walking away saying "that's ok": No, it's not. Worst, when another waitress asks how everything was. You tell them. They have no response and walk away. Shame as ale selection/location/garden/building & fittings are good.

Not a good experience. Food awful! Over cooked & bland. Extremely small portions for a big price.

We had a meal here it was pretty tasteless we were sat in the restaurant area kids kept running in and out constantly. The staff are great and it's a lovely pub but I'd only order chips there!

Love the decor, but menu is nothing to get excited about and its too pricey. Went for a special occasion but won't be able to afford to go back again.

A beautiful stop off after a walk on the Downs. So peaceful sitting in the garden in the sunshine. Plus the young lady that served us was impeccable, very polite and extremely helpful.
