Very dissatisfied with this cafe, 2 teas, 1 panini with a meagre filling, 2 cakes,£15, not value for money one teabag in a small teapot for 2 people when really for £2.50 a cup you should have one each, won't be going again, better value cafes in pocklington. Vegetarian options: Good selection

For £5 which was the cost of two cups of tea, we got a small teapot for two with one teabag in it. Asked for hot water to eke it out to two cups although this should be given anyway, this was when l discovered the solitary teabag for two people. What do they do when one person wants a cup of tea, cut the teabag in half! What an absolute rip off, won't darken their door again. I wish l had said something now and affected the peace!

This is a lovely little cafe located at the Buddhist Centre just outside of Pocklington. You can sit inside or outside, ordering at the counter and this is then delivered to your table. It’s a very peaceful setting with wonderful views across the site to the little church and beyond. It’s not a quick coffee stop; it’s a place to stop and reflect. We enjoyed coffee and cakes (very generous portions); they also do panninis. There is a small carpark but we walked from Pocklington, out past the school and along the main road; there is a path but be aware that some drivers drive very fast along there. We returned to Pocklington following a footpath which goes through the KP club grounds and drops down into town. This is part of the Pilgrimage of Grace Heritage Trail and also the Chalkland Way. Well worth a visit to the cafe which is open 7 days per week and a good opportunity to visit the Buddhist Centre and/or explore the grounds.
