The staff on the day were lovely, however obtaining the results an absolute nightmare. They did send me off with a dvd and sent a report to my Gp and consultant however this did not include the images I had paid for. I went for my hospital appointment that they agreed they were aware of. The appointment was running two hours late, I eventually went in to found out no images had been sent only a report which was obviously useless on it own to determine whether I need an operation. The images have now been sent and I have to go back again for the consultants opinion. We all moan about the NHS but these people are worse as I have actually paid for this diabolical service. Wasted my time and more importantly valuable NHS time. Please make sure if you use these people the images are actually sent to where you ask them to go

Recently I visited WICentre to have an MRI on my head and neck. I needed a referral from my GP, it wasn't a problem. I was offered an appointment within a few days which was great. I returned a couple of forms via email that I had to fill in so you don't have to do it on the day of the appointment. The assistant was very friendly and professional, everything ran on time. It's easy to locate the clinic, Pay and display parking is near by. Two days later the results were ready and emailed directly to my GP, I then obtained a copy the same day. I was so relieved and wanted to thank the clinic, the doctors and staff for the excellent service I had received from start to finish. I can highly recommend their services. Thank you!

I used Worcester Imaging Centre for an MRI on my knee. I was impressed with the speed that they could see me (within a few days) and the price (£235) seemed fair too. This was all self-pay and I brought a referral from my physiotherapist, who was also self-pay. The procedure itself was fine, and they were able to give me a CDR of the images when I left. However, they were not willing to email me the subsequent report, saying that they could only send this to my GP or the physiotherapist, and that I could subsequently get a copy from them. This was quite ludicrous as I was the one paying for the imaging procedure and so I should have access to all the data and information about my own body. This turned into quite a heated discussion with the radiologist who defended this lack of information access as “company policy”. From what I could gather, their reasoning is that if they send the report to their private clients then those clients want to enter into an email exchange about interpretation of the results and possible treatment – which, quite fairly, Worcester Imaging Centre is not qualified to do. However, to refuse to give me direct access to this report was a nonsensical abuse of my information rights as a paying client to their service. Thankfully, I was able to upscale my grievance and the consultant (who would write the report) clearly understood my perspective and was very helpful. The Centre subsequently emailed the report to me later that day. So, although I would recommend this Centre it is not without provisos on access to information and how this is shared. I also suggest this Centre reviews its attitude on information and not hide behind “company policy” as a way to avoid conversations they do not wish to have.
