Why do poor men who died fighting against facism get one plaque between them, while a rich man who lived till he was in his 80s, and who represented colonialism with all its horrors gets a special one of his own? This was the theme throughout this place of worship.

Wonderfully maintained place of worship/ visitors attraction. We discovered that Sir George Scott, who designed the West Window, had a sense of humour. It was thought the giraffe and other animals depicted in strange colours were kiln misfires but a relative visiting after the restoration in 2017 suggested otherwise. King John ( Robin Hood & Sheriff of Nottingham times) is buried here as well as Prince Arthur, who died young and was succeeded by his brother Henry VIII. Very interesting place to visit particularly if you are interested in English history
