FAQ
What services does the local government office provide for the community?
We are not a local government office, but rather a Crown Court. As a court, we do not provide services for the community, but rather we adjudicate on criminal cases that are brought before us.What types of administrative law cases do you specialize in?
As a Crown Court, we do not specialize in administrative law cases. Our focus is on criminal cases that have been referred to us by magistrates' courts or that are sent to us for sentencing from the Crown Prosecution Service. What is your approach to communicating with clients throughout the legal process?
As a court, we do not have clients, but rather defendants, prosecutors, and other parties involved in the case. We communicate with these parties through formal legal processes, such as court hearings, submissions, and orders. Can you provide references from past clients or reviews of your services?
As a court, we do not provide legal services to clients, and therefore do not have past clients or reviews of our services. Our role is to impartially adjudicate on the cases that are brought before us.How do you determine your fees for legal services?
As a court, we do not determine fees for legal services. Our operations are funded through government budgets and do not involve fees charged to parties involved in the cases we adjudicate.Reviews

Just done 2 weeks Jury Service here. The girls in the office are brilliant and keep you updated while you are waiting to be chosen for a case. The café is very overpriced and the only refreshment provided free is water. Take your own food, drinks and plenty to read ! There is a TV to watch if you want. A Tesco Metro across the road but not much else.
