We had the worst service I have experienced in a long time. In fact, there was no service at all! Our food was ok, nothing special in my opinion. We were left with no service once our main meal was served. We were there 2 hours and no offer of drinks, our plates were left on the table for ages. Once our plates were taken, no dessert menu was brought and no drinks offered. We tried to catch the attention of the staff bit we may as well have been invisible. It was just so disappointing. I won't rush back.

i havent been to the woolpack in a long time after their quality declined and food was very hit or miss. But we had a voucher so thought we would use it and we were disappointed to say the least. The portions were much smaller and more expensive and we waited over an hour for our main to come out and when it did arrive it was just okay. real shame its gone downhill

We visited the Woolpack on Sunday (3 days ago). We've had Sunday lunch a couple of times before, at this pub/ restaurant. It's clean and smart and usually busy. It's very nice for children as well as adults, as it's spacious. There's a restaurant area, as well of an informal pub-like seating area. Nice fireplaces. GREAT food, and lots of options. They don't use nuts in their kitchen. The loos are very nice too. Outside, it's lovely - there's an outside seating area. Would recommend this for anyone: romantic couples, families, elderly and youthful types, as well as children. It's expensive.
