Truly inspirational shop with delicious yarns and talented, lovely people inside. My own recent 'story' with Wool on the Exe goes as follows: My unique, beautiful, fairisle hat fell into the mischievous jaws of a bored, rescue hound and I was devastated. The hat was of huge sentimental value as it had belonged to my mother. It was truly priceless. And there it was, completely unwearable and irrepairable... Or was it? I didn't know where to turn. I needed an expert. I went with little hope of a happy verdict to the Wool on the Exe for advice. Ella examined the hat quietly and then to my astonished delight she courageously agreed to attempt a repair. Ella managed to wave her magic over the hat with her talent, perseverance and kindess. I now have a fully restored hat with a story of admiration and gratitude attached.
