Laughable customer service, they said an order was shipped, then argued 'shipped' doesn't mean shipped. Then when my autistic boyfriend called to complain about this and how ambiguous the website is, was first told it was IMPOSSIBLE to send it that day, and being autistic he clarified IMPOSSIBLE. Then he was told the manager was unavailable, so he kicked up a fuss and got to talk to the director, who then offered to send it the same day, but when my finance said he would leave a bad review, the director refused to send the order. Anything on this site can be ordered elsewhere and given how they treat people, (telling an autistic person he is overreacting because he wants to leave a bad reveiw, after being lied to many times) I would suggest buying from anywhere but here.

Courses with Ray are brilliant. I just did the walk in the woods and wood carving with Ray. A couple of years running. Partly due to COVID restrictions I didn't go last year but hope to next year. Shop has good stuff in it, if expensive. Not enough women's clothing choices!

Just completed the Introduction to Bushcraft course last weekend initial thoughts the day after returning. Cons. Communication from the office extremely poor, constantly having to ring to check if consent forms had been received diet requirements or if it was even going ahead with covid etc. This does not reflect on the course instructors. Course changed from what was advertised in regards to social distancing due to covid. Originally told it would be separate stoves ration packs with a limited number of people. Course was run with full 20 people and group activities. Felt strange after the last year especially as it was sprung upon you on arrival. Course starts as soon as you arrive with setting tarps up etc so make sure you allow time not only for travel but to eat and drink before you start. By the time we sat down to eat/drink it was dark and that's in July. Not great if you have spent the day driving down. Guess the clue is in the name, Introduction to Bushcraft but it really is quite basic. If you have zero experience in a woodland setting great. If you are used to camping, have made a fire before, walked through woodland may be limited what you get out of it. Pros. Course instructors friendly, knowledgeable and always willing to assist. Went out of their way to make you feel welcome. Always feels like your doing something, smoothly taken from one activity to another. Feels like you do a fair bit in the time your there, especially since its less than 48hrs when you think of it. Would I do it again? For me personally coming from a camping background honestly didn't take any new skills away with me so maybe not. Lack of communication from the office kinda puts me off looking at booking a weeks course in the future and at the cost of the course would really want to make sure what was going to be covered on the course first.

Thank you for a great experience doing the Camp Craft course. We learnt so many new skills and met some fantastic people. I think Woodlore have done a fantastic job with regards to Covid, allowing the course to go ahead with social distance and group bubbles. Thanks to Tom, Dave & Callium.
