We were delighted to recently return the the Woodlands Hotel with our two dogs. As a 3* Hotel we felt the buildings appeard tired but this was more than made up for by the delightful staff and ambiance. Deep cleaning wouldnt go amiss in our in our supberb bedroom suite (17) at low level in the bathroom! Resturant food and relaxed service was excellant. We plan to return. Walkability: Able to exercise dogs straight into the New Forest

I was in room 3 and found the bed well sprung but old style. If you get too close to the edge you will be on the floor. There is no shower which was a shame. The room was very clean and cozy, although it's a double I wouldn't recommend it for two people. But for my one night on business it was ideal. The hotel is in a very rural setting so don't expect to walk to shops. It would make a good base for a holiday if you are out every day as there is little else to do there.
