Had an appointment with Dr Amit after receiving a referral letter to see a spinal orthopaedics consultant as I’m suffering with a trapped nerve in my neck. The appointment lasted not much more than 5 minutes with Dr Amit which just ended with him saying I need a MRI scan. Went to pay and the cost of the appointment was £300 !!!!! FOR 5 MINUTES of him sitting there listening to me talking and him doing not much more than nodding. I wasn’t given the price of this consultation prior to booking or on the day, only afterwards. Absolutely disgusting how he can charge this much. The MRI scan is only going to cost £80 more than his fee at £380 then the next consultation at £300. Totaling £980 before any work / therapy would take place. All I can tell you is the truth so make your minds up carefully.

My first experience at a private hospital . I feel like they need to communicate with patients a bit better as at times I didn’t know where I was taken to or what the next stage was in my treatment.

Was here on 27th April as a private patient for day surgery on a knee which required general anasthetic. About two hours after regaining consciousness, I was told to get out of bed, get dressed and was led to chair in a store room with zero facilities. Was told beforehand I would be staying in a private room for around 6 hours before being allowed to leave. Being made to dress and move so soon after surgery was really painful. My nurse explained this was an upper management decision, money is obviously far more important to them than patient care and wellbeing. I'm still totally disgusted at having been treated in this way.
