I was admitted at the hospital in November 2022 and now I am awaiting surgery. It appears the hospital misplaced my paper work. I called Woodingdean Medical Centre and spoke to a helpful kind lady who took her time to help me. Her name is Chars/Shars She then booked me with an after hours Doctor Donald who called me within 2hrs. This Doctor again was God sent. All I could say is don't push to see the local doctor at your surgery because they are busy. Just agree to speak to a Doctor on the phone you get sorted quick. Thank you Chars. Please don't change stay sweet. I am one happy patient. 😊

I'm a new patient and found the reception team to be really friendly and helpful. The doctor I saw was also brilliant and made me feel very reassured. I feel lucky to be a patient of this practice.

Just impossible to get an appointment. I was called by the receptionist and asked to make an appointment with a doctor as they needed to speak to me, 3 weeks later I am still trying. I have been in the que many times and cut off, many occasions phone message says it cannot take my call. I have tried to book through online services, that facility apparently not available, now trying through the livi system, been called for 2 seconds then rang off , I didn’t reach phone in time. Totally awful service, wish I could say something nice but there are no words.

Failed nhs surgery. To many patients impossible to see a Doctor. I just rang up at 8.30 and was told I was no 30 in the que. Waited 20 mins then told the Dr who wanted to get intouch with me was not doing any more calls. No doctors were available. They said ring back tomorrow and try again. I was ringing because my blood pressure was to high it is now.

I was dubious about changing GP when I moved to Woodingdean a year ago, as my old surgery were great! but everyone at Woodingdean Medical Centre has been so kind & helpful. The receptionists have gone out of their way to help me transfer my prescriptions over & even assisted my father when he came to stay with me & needed some information (& he’s not even registered with them)! 100% recommendation.

The doctors and nurses are excellent, as are the receptionists, but it is impossible to get an appointment. Too many of it`s services are being referred via the doctors. There is a new pharmacist service, where people could be asked to fill in a questionnaire before passing it to a nurse or the receptionist who could refer on. People wouldn't normally go to a doctor to tall to their pharmacist. There is also an injection programme, this could be out sourced to a well trained pharmacist and their staff who come in initially. There are lots of ways of doing things, I think practise needs to spend a bit of time thinking about it`s methods and start thinking outside the box to free up it`s key practioners.

I can t speak highly enough of this practice . From the reception staff to the incredible Dr Smith . Her attention to detail when caring for my son has been amazing . From beginning to end she has exceeded all our expectations. She recognises anxiety whilst also ensuring high quality care is provided and understands beyond measure the requirement for reassurance and results as soon as she has them . Thank you so much for all you do day in day out - it doesn t go unnoticed .
