today i spoke to my doctor for tablets she said i will do that for you but nobody let me know nobody text me message to collect the tablets and now i don't have tablets for tonight and this is because the doctors don't care about their responsibility and do not respect refugees. IT IS NOT FIRST TIME THAT IT HAPPENED TO ME IT IS SEVERAL TIMES.

As far as the NHS GP clinics go, this is one of the best ones I used. Doctors actually know what they are doing, Dr Sattar is one of the best GPs I ever visited. Nurses are great as well (very skilful in what they are doing especially Anne Gascoyne), you can get both a face to face or telephone appointment and dont have to wait for months like in some other places. If you are looking for a new GP clinic to register with I would highly recommend this one.

Doctors are always friendly and treat you suitably for illness. Most receptionist staff are helpful and polite despite it being a stressful role. I have had a few bad experiences with one receptionist on several occasions. On one occasion I was severely ill with a chest infection, a family member rang to try get an appointment for me, and was told there were no appointments left (which is fair enough). The member of staff advised I headed to the walk in centre. Because I was so ill at the time I was unable to get myself to the walk-in centre as I do not own my own form of transport - my family member also explained that I have suffered from anxiety from a young age and that I would not go because of this complication. The staff member told me to ‘stop being silly’. On another occasion I was on a visit to see my family. While on the visit my blue preventer for asthma had run out. We rang the doctors to see if they could send a prescription to a local chemist and explained the situation. The staff member asked if we could go pick it up - it would have been a 2.5 hour round trip to pick my medication up from home. The staff member then said it’s my responsibility, which is fair enough and I respect that. I had picked up my inhaler which only had a few doses left which I didn’t realise when picking up. The staff member continued to too and throw and couldn’t give us much of a solution and said it could take 48 hours. Eventually we came to the conclusion that I could go to the local chemist and ask them to ring the surgery. Both interactions felt very unnecessary and were made to feel as though we were a nuisance, when this is the place to go for medical attention. Nevertheless, most of my visits to this GP have been positive, I just felt these two interactions in particular should be made aware.
