What a campsite! The scenery is the best of the UK and there are loads of great walks and pubs close by. The showers and toilets are great, the water is absolutely lovely and fresh. You get the feeling they really care about the natural beauty of the area and it all feels very eco friendly. Excellent host - friendly and laidback, super helpful and generally just fab people. The bar and kitchen area are so idyllic and the food is GREAT. It’s all really hearty and flavourful food and you get to watch them prep which is fun. Special shout out to the rhubarb trifle we had on Saturday evening. One of the most delicious things I have eaten! We’ll be back soon :)

Lovely campsite with excellent facilities. You can rent a fire pit from the site (they also sell logs) so you can relax and look out over the lambs playing in the next field. Lots of nice walks/pubs in the local area, so plenty of stuff to do in the day. Food is special - we had grilled chicken thighs with a wild garlic, tarragon, butter and white wine sauce, charred leeks & homemade flatbreads, which was genuinely excellent (there is a veggie option too!) Stella & Griff who run the campsite are also super friendly hosts who are happy to help with anything. Overall would really recommend!

(Translated by Google) Very friendly and special campsite with the best food! The great and very clean compost toilets and the showers are made of natural materials and you feel right at home. The greatest hosts who served us a large plate of grilled food without prior registration (make sure not to miss the good food). Big recommendation! (Original) Sehr freundlicher und besonderer Campingplatz mit dem besten Essen! Die tollen und sehr sauberen Kompost-Klos und die Duschen sind aus natürlichen Materialien und man fühlt sich direkt wohl. Die tollsten Gastgebenden, die uns ohne vorherige Anmeldung (unbedingt machen, damit man das gute Essen nicht verpasst) noch einen großen Teller mit Gegrilltem serviert haben. Ganz große Empfehlung!

What an amazing place Stella & Griff have created here. You have to pinch yourself when you eat the food that you’re actually camping. Night 1 was chicken thighs and a beautifully seasoned potato and side salad, night 2 a side of salmon portioned between 10 very grateful campers and night 3 chimichurri steak and roast potatoes, we were totally spoilt. That’s before you mention waking up to an amazing tranquil surrounding overlooking the Sussex downs and beautiful walks in every direction. The hospitality these 2 offer is perfect and we can’t wait to “camp” again next year. Thanks for looking after us. 👍
