Visited in May ‘23 and I must say it was the best meal we had in our 3 weeks of travel! Hubby had the special vegetarian menu and I had my own gluten free menu! Was absolutely superb and the cosy vibe was just what we wanted from an English pub. If you’re in the area, please go, you won’t be disappointed!

Been wanting to visit the wooden fender for a good while now and we wasn't disappointed. We walked through the restaurant en-rout to the garden and every dish I set my eyes on looked stunning 😍 myself and my wife both had the ploughman's which was heavenly. Also the service was 2nd to none (shout out to Lee 😀) we were visited by other members of staff who were also very attentive so thank you for making our 1st visit a great one and we will no doubt be back in the very near future ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

After saying we must visit The Wooden Fender for years & only living 10 mins away, today we decided as it was a nice day & after an early finish at work, we'd finally try this out! Lee who was attending the guests in the garden was fabulous. The food was absolutely delicious, we had ploughman's. The staff were all fab & we had a top lunch. Thank you, we will be back to try the duck next time 😁🦆

Fabulous food with wonderful service. Visited for Sunday lunch. Had nachos with chicken as a starter which was so big it could have been a main meal but really scrummy. Followed by a delicious roast Turkey dinner which I couldn’t fault. Vegetables tasty and cooked to perfection and meat very tender. Was our first visit and will definitely be retuning. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful
