AVIOID!!! After contacting TECKENTRUP they gave me this company as their registered installer. Richard at Wolverine told me TECKENTRUP doors are rubbish and recommended the Alutech door. He came out measured the door opening and asked what I wanted. He provided no brochures or pictures to pick anything from as their a paperless company, which didn’t matter at the time as I knew I wanted a sectional door in anthracite grey, matching profile, three windows across the top panel and I showed him a picture of my front door so he could match the glass on the garage door. I was sent a quote was based on the description and pictures I showed him. The quote had a deadline to be accepted, so to hold the price I accepted the quote and paid the deposit. Having attended site Richard could see the build was no where near ready for the door to be installed but ordered the door and stored it until the builder was ready for it. I was on holiday during installation and was being hounded for the final payment. The on-site tradesmen told me there were small dents on the profile so I partially settled their final bill and retained £443 to cover any repairs. Richard then sent me the pictures of the door installed, which I flagged several marks on and then picked up on the wrong glass being installed. Richard completely ignored my messages about this. He did attend site and repaired the profile. On my return from holiday I looked over the door and spotted more scratches which are down to the metal on the inside of the door, which I advised him of. The door has been up since it’s been installed as no electrical connections have been installed in the property yet so any marks on the door were done on installation. He is prepared to repair these scratches but has sent me an additional quote of £404 to pay on top of the final bill to install the correct glass. He says he’s installed what he quoted for and I should have ensured the quote was correct. I’ve asked for the brochure detailing the different types of glass which I was “meant” to check the original quote against and to check this quote against and there isn’t one. So how was I meant to check the quote was correct in the first place? He’s refusing to correct his mistake and has referred the £443 to a debt collection service just one week after installation. Clearly has this problem a lot to have this sort of service at the ready. His attitude is enough to put you off anyway but save yourself the stress and agro and go with a different company.
