Recently came here as a new client for a new contact lens prescription and fitting. I thought the optician was very thorough and took the time to explain everything as well as answer my questions. I liked that I only paid one (in my opinion, very reasonable) fee for multiple visits. Am pleased that I took a chance here as I'm very happy with my new prescription and lenses.

My 18 year old daughter had been having her eye tests here for many years & a couple of years ago was told she needed varifocal glasses, which she has been wearing, she phoned to make an appointment recently as she was due a test and found the price of a eye test was now £42 . Understandably she thought this was rather expensive so decided to book elsewhere which was much cheaper, where she was told by a rather surprised optometrist that she should never of been prescribed varifocals as this is something that is rarely given to teenagers unless they have a serious condition .

Terrible follow-up and customer service. I needed a standard PD measurement after spending over 280 pounds during my exam, fitting and frame pick-up. They refused to do the PD measurement although it is standard with eye exams, but was not noted for my prescription. I even offered to come back and have them do it when they were available to which they refused. The actual measurement takes less then five minutes. They told me I could get a new exam or buy new glasses and they would complete the measurement. Buyer beware, this place is all about the sale and no follow through. I would recommend going elsewhere if possible.

I received exceptional service from Eyes Open Opticians. They booked me an appointment quickly and efficiently and talked me through everything very clearly. I enjoyed looking at the equipment which took pictures of my eyes, as a photographer it was all very fascinating! Overall a great experience! :)
