I can honestly say that Withersdane, the place, the support from staff, the friendship with other addicts, family and friends and alot of hard work saved my life. I was encouraged last October to go into rehab for severe alcohol problems which had led to life threatening illness and loss of self and I guess some sort of anxiety/depression. It changed my life and turned it around and I can say today that I have been clean for nearly 8 months. For me, and everyone has there own path, I very much benefitted from the daily groups, individual therapy with a councillor, the twelve step program, group activities, fellowship meetings and being fed three nutritious healthy meals a day and then the comfort of my own room and space was a perfect combination for my recovery. A daily routine and freedom to walk the beautiful grounds. Always a member of staff to lend an ear. It’s hard work. But if I hadn’t seeked help and support then without Promis, I probably wouldn’t be here today. I want to thank all the staff(now friends I hope) and have found my spiritual higher power. Today, I still live onsite voulenteering in a safe environment, a new way of life, I’ve found myself and look forward to new journeys, one day at a time.....

I stayed at witherdane hall from the 14th February to the 7th March. Having stayed at similar places before I can honestly say that withersdane is by far the best place to be for the treatment of anxiety, depression and OCD. the staff throughout my stay where excellent and went beyond their roles to ensure that I got the help and support I needed for my recovery which I’m very much thankful for. food and accommodation was also exellent.
