This was my first time going to winsford house today, only for a test trial to see what it was like, and i have to say, the piano sounds good, what more can you get, i highly recommend it, will be going there again every friday for real once every month on friday’s, going there again on friday 4nov in the morning at 11am for my next entertainment for the residents, we’ll be trying out the radio mic, to see what it sounds like, i never used there microphone before, i was just using my own bluetooth microphone, wheels for the piano don’t seem to move when i was going to move near my microphone, hopefully it should be all fixed when i next go there again, thanks to all the team for organising this event, my Auntie Susan took me there today to see what it was like, but i do recommend this place.

Our mum has been living at Winsford House for a few years now and we are so pleased we made the choice to place her there. You fear the worst when choosing a care home, but from the moment mum went there for a few weeks respite, we knew Winsford would be the only place for Mum to go to when the need for permanent care came around, and it's been such a weight lifted off our shoulders knowing how well she is looked after. The carers are all amazing, and when we visit you can see the obvious bonds they have with the residents. The current manager was appointed not long before the covid outbreak and the benefits from the changes he made seemed to happen overnight! He has an amazing connection with all the residents, and is always available for a chat. The bedrooms have all been newly refurbished and are so bright and airy. The public areas have also been updated and the reception area is a lovely welcoming place when you first come through the front door. Every time we visit mum she always has a smile on her face and has a laugh and joke with the staff (she has dementia and their response to her each time is wonderful), and that tells us all we need to know about how well she is being looked after.

My mother-in-law was a resident here and we often spoke on the phone and she was always singing the praises of the staff and facilities. My son visited her there and he commented on how happy she was. He liked how his nanny was allowed to decorate her room and she would tell him all about the activities she was taking part in.

On first going to winsford house all staff were lovely. My mum was very happy while there and in her words said she landed on her feet and wanted to stay there. The visits to the home was a pleasant experience. Jamie the manager was always available to help and talk to. Jamie and all the staff would go and sit in the room with her when she was not feeling herself. This was not due to the home but because of mums complex needs . We could not of chosen a nicer place for mum. Unfortunately mum passed away recently. But that has not stopped Jamie, Jodie and all staff supporting us through a difficult time. Always there when we want to talk. Still inviting us to the home.

Mum moved into Winsford House in June . Mum absolutely loved everything about the home. Even before she moved in we were met with such kindness by Jamie and his team who were able to accommodate all Mum's complex health needs Mum was able to furnish her room exactly as she wished and whenever we had a query they were able to support us and assist us in a professional manner whilst delivering their care with a personal touch. Mum's hair was always done beautifully by the Care staff and she was always dressed beautufully by stsff and her personal hygiene needs were met very well. Mum especially enjoyed the gardens and besutiful fish pond. Mum only ever had positive things to say about the care she received. Mum was incredibly positive about all the staff who cared for her .I cannot thank them enough for the hugely positive impact they made on Mum and as a family we always felt they just went above and beyond and focussed on a person centred approach They were very encouraging in helping Mum maintain her independence whilst being cared for in a dignified and respectful manner. Sadly our Mum passed away recently and the care did not stop there. Jamie and Jodie especially were amazing as well as all the carers. They showed such empathy and kindness towards us and we will always be grateful of the wonderful care given during her time at Winsford House.

My mum has been at Winsford House for 6 months, and is so happy there. I cannot fault the staff for their dedication and care they give to my mum. They send photos of her doing arts and crafts and she has her hair cut regularly. I can only speak as I find, and I am very happy to leave my mum in their care.
