Winchester GP was recommended to us by Spire Healthcare for private blood tests & an X-ray which were required to obtain a work permit in the EU. To their credit these were organised expediently for around £400. The tests were then required to be apostilled/ legalised by the Foreign & Commonwealth Office. This is where we encountered a brick wall. The Doctor in Winchester is not on the Foreign Office list of approved signatories. Our paperwork was rejected. A simple solution was offered by the Foreign Office for the GP to give authority for their name to be added & kept on file for future applications. GP Winchester refused. End result, an outlay of £500 total & no work permit. Also a delay of 4 weeks & we were forced to start again.

I’d like to thank everyone at Winchester GP for all for their speedy and supportive help in getting my test done - and to your lab partners for the quick response in results. You’ve saved us from taking the kids out of school for up to a fortnight, them missing out on organised sports and small social events, us taking time off work and us asking friends and family to do our food shopping and dog walking. Definitely very well worth it for the peace of mind and return to normal living! Just knowing quickly (either way, really) is what was needed, and that is what we got. Together with very, very kind and supportive help in making it happen.

Required 2 x separate tests for a visa application implemented due to the pandemic. Both had to be issued and presented to Embassy within 48hrs and we were just hitting brick wall after brick wall trying to find test centres / make appointments until Winchester GP's were contacted. Gemma listened to our specific requirements and coordinated our appointment and x ray referral enabling us to finally obtain what was needed within the required time frame. Excellent communication throughout and at all times felt confident that our best interest and needs were being taken care of. We really cannot thank you enough Gemma for your time and help in overcoming this specific hurdle.
