Can't recommend Wimbledon Kyokushinkai enough to anyone looking to learn a traditional yet highly practical martial art. The lead instructor, Hanshi Steve Arneil, is the world renowned pioneer of British Kyokushinkai. His experience is unparalleled and the opportunity to learn directly from him is an amazingly rare and rewarding one. The other senior black belts and instructors are also highly experienced but also very accommodating and friendly. I was nervous at first (having no martial arts experience), but I was immediately made to feel extremely welcome. Everyone is keen to help with any questions or issues you may have and there is a deep experience pool to learn from. Kyokushinkai karate itself is a highly practical martial art that is rooted in tradition. Excellent for anyone who is looking for a skill that they can use in real life situations but who also appreciates the discipline and fundamental principles of martial arts. Again can't recommend enough to both experienced martial artists and fresh faced beginners like myself.

Been with this club for 16 years (since I was 9) and they are such a friendly amazing bunch. The junior and senior sessions are brilliant and help provide anyone with an in-depth understanding of karate and self defence. Would definitely recommend training with them. If you join this club you will also be taught by the incredible Hanshi Steve Arneil (10th dan) who is the chief instructor of British Kyonkushinkai Karate. Who better to learn from! If you want to learn some self defence and the correct way to do the techniques I can’t recommend this club enough!
