Back in 2002 myself and my husband contacted Willson's solicitors about a Will. We made enquiries about a joint Will that once written can never be changed. A Mutual Will. It now transpires that most if not all solicitors do not recommend this type of Will. To the contrary however Willson's gave no such advice and keenly drew up for us a mutual Will. Sadly in 2005 my husband passed away. Subsequent to this I was contacted completely unprompted by Willson's solicitors offering to review the Will. This review resulted in changes to the Mutual Will despite me questioning the status of the Will being Mutual meaning that no changes post mortem could be made. Following recent independent advice I discovered that the changes that were made in 2015 by Willson's for which they were paid should never have been made. They have reimbursed for the £159 I paid in 2015, but refused to reimburse me the 7 years interest I have lost on this amount. One of the changes made keenly and perhaps not surprisingly by them, was to appoint them as executors of my Will. Naturally, I now having no confidence at all in their ability I have asked for this to be changed and they have advised that I must seek advice in respect of any changes to my Will elsewhere. If you are reading this, I suggest you do the same. I am a 79 year old widow trying like everyone else to keep my costs to the minimum, this is no way to treat people.

I was a first time buyer and had used Willsons Solicitors for my conveyance needs. There were a couple of complications through the journey but through it all Natalie/Chloe and Team Higham persevered and got the sale completed on the appointed date. The WORST conveyance company I have ever used. Customer service is as foreign to them as aliens landing on earth. Will call, no response. Leave messages to get someone to call. No response. Email asking for updates, and to get someone to update me. No response. Our house purchase has now taken 8 months and still going on. Please stay far away from this terrible company.

We recently used Willsons for the 2nd time on a house sale/purchase, purely because they held other documents of ours ,so we thought it would be easier to stick with them. When we used them in 2017 they were very slow, with part time staff who only picked up your file once in a while if lucky. This time round they were even slower. We were told by them that any email queries would be responded to within 3 days, which is ridiculous when you think that emails were designed for speed of communication. In fact, when we complained about not receiving responses to 2 emails, we were then told that they have hundreds of emails each day and cannot possibly respond to them all! We were also told that any calls would be returned the same day. That was not the case on two occasions, where we did not get a call back at all. Do not expect to be put through to your “team” and actually get to speak to anyone other than a mailbox. There were also other issues and errors along the way with this company. If are looking for a solicitor who will give you regular updates on your file, return emails and phone calls in an acceptable time, and make you feel like the ridiculous amount of money you will pay them reflects a decent level of customer service, then you should instruct another firm.
