Experience unfortunately ruined by the owner herself! Visited here a few times enjoyed the food, and the staff were very accommodating (with the resources they’ve been given), however it seems the owner does not have a maternal bone in her body. My 2 year old son spilt a drink on the tiled floor (not anything that could not be cleaned) when my mum asked for a cloth to mop it up, the staff were more than helpful, however their owner followed and not only publicly humiliated her staff, she then turned to patronise us about where we were sitting and ranted on about how much she’d spent on the cover on the sofa, to which we must have stated at least three times that it had not gone on the sofa but she still carried on, making the experience very awkward so we left very promptly. On reflection I’ve realised the place is not child friendly, only having one high chair on the premises and always seating people with children in the back corner of the place or in front of the toilet!

Food excellent 1 waitress very rude. Took our order then went to another table took their order. There food came out first before us then brought mine out starter and main together. I said that will go cold.she said i should have said not together. Common sense comes to mind. Never have I ever been served that way any were else. Another lady said she should have asked you.

Stopped on a recent bike ride in the area. Nothing inherently wrong with the establishment....but..£8.25 for a can of Tango, a slice of cake and a glass of squash. Seems very steep to me. Will not be stopping there again

We had a lovely afternoon tea at Willows. The tea room is cosy, staff very friendly and attentive and the food was all delicious and home cooked. I was so busy chatting and eating I forgot to take photos! Will definitely be back. Parking: On street parking just outside. Can get busy, there is a paid car park at the bottom of the hill (Tutbury Mill Mews) that usually has space, or another one at the top of the high street.
