I have nothing negative to say about Willow Park Care Home. What some don't realise is they don't just have 'your' relative to look after and I've never personally been ignored when in reception or the dementia floor. I've always found the staff to be friendly yet professional. If anything happens I've always had a call. I'm not saying that everything has been perfect as it hasn't yet they have done the best in sometimes difficult situations. I found 2 years caring for my mother very stressful and I'm aware they are paid for it but they manage to stay happy and cheerful through some of the most trying times this country has ever had!. The naked review got my blood boiling because I know for a fact this wouldn't happen at WPCH as a member of staff would had spotted it and dealt appropriately. Please don't be put off by the negative reviews. My mother is 5 years in and I'd like to think I know the place and the staff well. Ups and downs do happen. But please go on the better reviews. Your relative will absolutely be fine at Willow Park. Thanks guys for everything.

I spoke to admin twice about taking my elderly father in law to look around the home with a view to having respite care, I booked an appointment with "the manager" , we turned up with my 88year old Father in law, only to be told we couldn't come in as they knew nothing about us, and they couldn't show us around as it was teatime, and anyway there wasn't any rooms available were full " admin told me there was availability! The nurses attitude was disgusting not professional at all, we had taken care introducing my father in law to any sort of care and now his trust In so called care homes has gone, personally I think he had a lucky escape, and it might help if the staff had some lessons in communication skills and empathy.

Needed some respite care for my 88 year old father when a leaflet was posted through the door for willow park care home. We contacted them and made an appointment to visit we were told someone would ring us back the next day to talk to us, no phone call. We then rang again to confirm the appointment and was told no problem So we turned up for the appointment only to be told they knew nothing about it. And nothing they can do as it’s meal time. This is not a caring attitude with comments like anyway we are full. Why put leaflets through the door advertising how caring and wonderful they are when they can’t even keep or know anything an appointment looks like father as had lucky escape. Very disappointed with the service and attitude of this supposed care home.

My Dad was in willow park for approximately 5 weeks the home is clean and very pleasant the care staff ( every one ) are professional and friendly. Each time I went I felt welcome, the only downside is the woman ( blonde hair glasses ) who sits in her office looking onto reception is rude and unfriendly, she will totally ignore family waiting to gain entry even when standing at the photo copier next to the door . She is a regular topic of conversation among residents relatives. She is the horrid.

Unfortunately I have a close relative in here . (Not my doing or choice) they seem to like to ignore people when they arrive (totally) several times now I have driven 250 miles to see my relative to be left standing and ignored .. one thing they seem to have plenty of is time. . unlike the residents in there . Been in once in nearly 2 years visits at least 10 .. not everyone lives round the corner. Shocking place

Disgusting place a person with dementia, was left walking around the 1st floor naked, when I came out of the lift, there was a carer a sleep in the chair, when I spoke to the manager, she totally dismissed this saying it was not her concern, omg shocking, it needs definatley a nea manager and a change in staff, absolutely appalling

my mother stayed at this care home for 19 months ,the care from the staff was excellent. However the manager is something else.my wonderful mum was taken in to hospital on the 6 /8 /19 They did all that could for her ,all she needed was TLC as she was near end of life . and was discharged by Doctors who wanted her to have peace and quiet with her family around her . But the manager refused to take her back, my mum passed away on 11/8/19 on a ward with 6 people on her own we did not get there in time We Still had to pay for a room what she was allowed to die in Discussing. So hang your head in shame
