Had a lovely outing to the viaduct show bar with my book club! 10/10 music! Had a little too many wines! (Good job I didn’t have the kids this weekend! 🤪) so happy with the service we got from a dashing young man named callum! If the music and drinks aren’t a good enough reason to go seeing Callum’s lovely face definitely is!

Me and my friends were at the viaduct showbar last Saturday night. It has definitely the highlight of our evening. We were first greeted by (Rob we later found out) who was so polite and respectful to us all explained what the bar was all about and that a new show launch that very evening, as first point of contact I have to say what a great asset this doorman is to the viaduct. We then entered the bar and we were all absolutely amazed how professional the shows were along with the Dj. Altogether a fantastic venue and great value for money and highly recommended!

Entered the bar with a few friends, after paying £10per person for entry. My round so I ordered drinks, one for myself, one for a friend and a third for another friend. Bar tender said that one of my friends should have a glass of water and try again in 20 minutes - Reasonable, however then refused service for the rest of the order. After another friend was successful at ordering he asked me to hold his drink while he went to the toilets. I took his drink. After a minute, bouncers approached me and asked me to leave. Not one of the bouncers could offer me an explanation other than one of my friends being intoxicated - I was asked to leave for holding the drink of another friend, yet the friend who was “Too drunk to be served” was able to stay inside. I encouraged then to review the CCTV to prove that the drink I was holding hadn’t been consumed by myself, and asked a grand total of THREE bouncers who were “dealing with me” if I seemed at all too drunk, if I seemed a threat, if I came across as absolutely anything that would warrant me being asked to leave (For the record here - I don’t deal with confrontation well, having past traumas, three people telling me how I was “In the wrong” was overwhelming, out of hand, and quite frankly excessive for the non aggressive temperament I have) I was offered no reason other than the exchange of a drink for my reason for being asked to leave. I find it absolutely pathetic that after calling the viaduct my safe space for a number of years that this is how I am treated and I point blank will never be asking my close friends and allies to join me in this space I considered safe and welcoming. I have never in my life felt so singled out, so attacked, so excluded from a space that I previously, for a number of years considered so welcoming. I will never again in my life put money in the pockets of anyone associated with this place after this experience.

DO NOT BOTHER PAYING FOR VIP. Staff is awful, you will have to be blind drunk if you want to pretend you had a good time here. Show is mediocre, just a club for kids. Not safe here and when you complain to get your money back after you pay hundreds for vip service you are met by hostility. Most definitely the worst experience you can imagine. SAVE YOUR MONEY. The so called manager is useless and will make up random stuff and ruin your night. Just avoid the whole place. Absolutely shocking.

Went on a first date here. Venue was great but my date left with someone else. Back on Tinder I guess. Nice cocktails.

Doorman very rude and disrespectful. This is meant to be an “inclusive” venue. Myself and friends came after a black tie event (so all suited up) and sober and in our late 20s and as soon as we got there he just said “not today” when I politely asked why he got rude and said “I don’t need to give you and explanation”. For a so called inclusive venue and on a Sunday night this is disgusting. He was rude and clearly takes power to his head. He was letting in 18-20 year old straight girls and guys in hoodies and jeans so I was disgusted. Really need to look at staffing as I don’t appreciate being spoken to like I was and never expected from this venue which I’ve frequented multiple times and know people who work here. This isn’t the first time I’ve encountered this doorman and he isn’t suited for the venue at all. Disgusting and will now never come to the venue again as I don’t appreciate it.

Doesn't feel like a queer safe space anymore, very overcrowded and the music is mostly catered for non-LGBT folk
